IMPACT: Lilac Boot and Glove Device for the Prevention of Chemotherapy Induced Peripheral Neuropathy

Condition: Chemotherapy Induced Peripheral Neuropathy

Sponsor: Luminate Medical, Inc.

Full Title
Protocol CLIN-53: A Clinical Investigation on IMproving Peripheral Neuropathy Induced by Chemotherapy with Advanced Compression Technology – A Safety and Efficacy Study

Study Treatment
The Lilac Glove and Boot devices apply a low pressure across the surface of the hands and feet to reduce access of neurotoxic drugs to the peripheral nerves by reducing blood flow in the microvasculature of the hands and feet. The small amount of pressure reduces the level of chemotherapy reaching the peripheral nerves, hence increasing the likelihood of nerve preservation during treatment.

Eligibility/Info
Eligible patients must be planning to undergo at least 12 weeks of neoadjuvant or adjuvant treatment with an oxaliplatin or paclitaxel based chemotherapy regimen.
